There was a time I was so into the BBC opera. I don't know if they still do them. Well they do in summer but anyway I wanted to paint something that looked painted. I needed something interesting enough that it would force me to draw faces and fingers and I did this. Based on several ballet pictures I was browsing through on the internet.
